Standards

Common Core Standards are organized into grades: K–5 and 6–12. With different categories like reading, writing, speaking and listening, and language strands. Having a basic standard that everyon can follow same standards helps all students follow a guideline. The standards prepare students for success in college and the workplace. International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) to guide the best practices for using and teaching technology in learning environments. They're broken into categories based on the needs of individuals, from detailing the standards set for students and educators. These are set to assist everyone in the up and coming age of technology.

Common Core State Standards

(CCSS)

The CCSS helps educators focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, and deep understanding. These are all implement4ed to everyday lesson planning and goal completion. It shapes what students learn and the skills they acquire. The standards create a template to align across classrooms and districts.  However, they have faced both praise and criticism, with proponents seeing them as a way to raise academic standards and opponents expressing concerns about standardization and overemphasis on testing. 

International Society for Technology in Education

(ISTE)

TE offers a range of resources, including standards, professional development for students and educators. These were put in place for students learning in the technology age. These standards emphasize areas such as digital citizenship, critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital skills. ISTE standards are used to guide curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessments worldwide. Educators use these standards to ensure that technology is effectively integrated into their teaching practices and that students are prepared to thrive in a tech-savvy world. Additionally, ISTE provides a network for educators to easily communicate innovative tools and stay updated on the latest trends in educational technology.
